Jim Crawford Tells All At the MTV Awards

The 2007 MTV Movie Awards were in full swing-pink carpet and all! With gorgeous singers, actors and personalities, they came dressed to impress.

Celebrities came from all over to strut their stuff and showcase their individual style. Celebrities like Eva Mendes with her soft, natural hair and long floral summer dress radiated true, natural beauty while Jessica Alba topped off her loose locks with a touch more structure and a red siren dress accompanied with classic Mary Janes. Both women featured two different takes of a classic, transitional bob cut. Mendes went with the 1940's classic tousled look, whereas Alba chose a smoother, more controlled, sleek look. When re-creating Jessica or Eva's look at home, you will want lots of layers to create tons of movement for sexy, flirty summer hair. Just remember, texture, texture, texture!

Mandy Moore was gorgeous in a red satin strapless gown with lots of curves. Talk about the perfect summer statement! Mandy decided to highlight the vibrancy of the dress and the richness of her hair color by pulling her hair back to draw attention to her face and neck. A dramatic side part is critical to this look. To re-create, use an Ouchless® elastic from Goody to secure the ponytail below the curve on the back of the head. This simple and trendy style is perfect for summer and you'll continue to see this look well into fall! Remember to wear hair high on the back of the crown to keep ponytails looking smooth with a natural texture.

The brilliant singer Amy Winehouse had the most surprising hair of the night. Her hair had tons of texture! The look was soft and deconstructed, with pulled back hair, bangs and a ponytail. She added a twist with a braided pouf on the top of her head for a Grecian goddess feel. We're seeing lots of bangs this season to frame eyes and cheekbones. Although they appear stronger and cut wider then conventional bangs-this is a trend that's here to stay.
