Jim Crawford's Official 2007 Grammy Awards Report:
You don’t have to win a Grammy to be a red carpet winner! This is my tribute to all the fabulous rock n’ rollers from the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.
These Grammy nominees proved that anything goes in terms of fashion. It is not just about your music but so much more about what you wear, who you’re with, the after parties, and we can’t forget your most important accessory---your hair! This year’s Grammy’s stars showcased long and glamorous, a trendy high pony, a period ‘do with a twist and an 80’s punk resurgence ….the Mohawk!
There were plenty of spring trends carried off in true Grammy style. The celebs’ music may “Not Ready to Play Nice” but their Grammy looks were anything but! In my book - the winners included Jessica from the PussyCat Dolls with her heavy, sexy bang. I love this look and you’ll be seeing lots more of it this spring-it was boldly fashion forward and suited the shape of her face.
On the other hand, Dixie Chick Emily Robison, pulled a ponytail high on the top of her crown and created a two stranded braid topped off with a thin black ribbon to soften her overall look. Fellow Dixie Chick, Martie Maguire, followed suit with a side part and ponytail that was a touch asymmetrical but very natural—a softer, more romantic version. 5 Grammys and 2 Red Carpet Hair Awards isn’t so bad for these two gals!
Another of my top picks, Carrie Underwood proved that while she was the best new artist - her talent and red carpet looks are here to stay! Her mane was long, soft, and impressive! Her hair was loose, textured and full of volume-as if she threw her loose waves over her head and walked out the door.
